ThinkLab Founder, best-selling author and workplace researcher Amanda Schneider joins the Founding Steering Committee, bringing industry-leading insight into the future of work, design and the built environment. 

As workplaces continue to evolve, understanding how people, culture and space influence one another has never been more important. 

That’s why Amanda Schneider has joined the Design at Work New York Founding Steering Committee. 

As Founder and President of ThinkLab, the only research organization dedicated exclusively to the built environment and interior design industry, Amanda has built an international reputation for transforming research into actionable insight. Through her work, she helps organizations better understand the changing relationship between work, workplace culture and the spaces where people connect, collaborate and thrive. 

Her research and thought leadership have been featured in Forbes, MIT Sloan Management Review, Interior Design and Metropolis, and she recently joined Oprah Winfrey as a guest on The Oprah Podcast. Her TED.com Talk, best-selling book Work for What’s Next, and Design Nerds Anonymous podcast continue to shape conversations across the global design community. 

Working alongside fellow members of the Founding Steering Committee, Amanda will help shape the content, thought leadership, key initiatives and overall direction of Design at Work New York, ensuring the inaugural edition reflects the research, insight and innovation shaping the future of workplace design. 

Her appointment reinforces Design at Work New York’s commitment to creating an event informed by evidence as well as experience. Bringing together expertise from architecture, interior design, workplace strategy, corporate real estate, research and the wider built environment, the Founding Steering Committee will help ensure the event reflects both today’s challenges and tomorrow’s opportunities. 

Speaking about joining the Founding Steering Committee, Amanda said:

Over the coming weeks, Design at Work New York will continue introducing the members of its Founding Steering Committee, each bringing unique expertise and perspectives to help shape the launch edition of North America’s dedicated workplace design fair. 

Design at Work New York will take place March 10–11, 2027, at the Javits Center, New York City, bringing together architects, interior designers, workplace strategists, corporate real estate professionals, manufacturers and industry leaders for two days of exhibitions, education, networking and collaboration.
