Design at Work New York Launches as New York’s Only Event Dedicated Exclusively to Workplace Design

Design at Work New York Launches at the Javits Center in March 2027

Design at Work New York is set to redefine the workplace design landscape when it arrives at the Javits Center on 10–11 March 2027. Created exclusively for the people shaping how and where we work, the event will bring together the brands, people and ideas driving the future of commercial interiors.

Created for the people shaping how and where we work, the event has been developed to connect architects, interior designers, occupiers, developers, workplace strategists and manufacturers through a carefully curated exhibition and a programme focused on business, innovation and collaboration.

From the team behind Clerkenwell Design Week and Shoreditch Design Week, Design at Work New York represents Media 10’s expansion into one of the world’s most influential commercial interiors markets.

New York is home to one of the largest office markets in the world and remains a global centre for architecture, workplace transformation and commercial real estate. As organisations continue to rethink how people work, demand for innovative furniture, lighting, materials, acoustics and workplace technology continues to grow.

What makes Design at Work New York different is its focus on quality over quantity. The event will bring together a curated collection of leading brands alongside more than 10,000 architects, designers, occupiers, developers and workplace leaders, creating an environment designed around relevance, discovery and meaningful business conversations.

Visitors can expect a world-class content programme across three live stages, CEU-accredited learning, Hosted Buyer meetings, networking experiences and opportunities to engage directly with the people influencing workplace projects across North America.

Supported by AIA New York, IIDA and leading editorial and media brands including Interior Design, Metropolis, Design Milk, Architizer and Azure, the event reflects the conversations, challenges and opportunities shaping the future of commercial interiors.

Applications are now open for brands wishing to participate in the launch edition. Each submission is reviewed individually as part of the event’s carefully curated approach.

Media 10 Announces Launch of a New Dedicated Workspace Design Fair  for the U.S. Market for 2027

Media 10 Announces Launch of a New Dedicated Workspace Design Fair for the U.S. Market for 2027

NEW YORK – Media 10, the international events company behind Clerkenwell Design Week and Shoreditch Design Week, has announced the launch of Design at Work – New York, a new trade event dedicated to commercial interiors and workplace design. The inaugural edition will take place 10-11 March 2027 at the Javits Center.

Positioned as New York’s only dedicated workspace design fair, Design at Work – New York will bring together leading manufacturers, architects, interior designers, occupiers and developers to explore the future of the workplace. The event will showcase a curated selection of global brands across workplace furniture, acoustic solutions, pods and booths, breakout and collaborative environments, lighting, materials and integrated workplace technology – reflecting the full spectrum of contemporary workplace design. A high-level talks programme and targeted networking opportunities will sit at the heart of the event.

The launch marks a strategic expansion of Media 10’s design portfolio into the U.S., building on the success of Clerkenwell Design Week – the UK’s leading design festival with 40,000 visitors every May – and Shoreditch Design Week, the largest official district of the London Design Festival.

“New York is one of the most important and influential design markets in the world, yet there is no single event dedicated purely to workplace design at a high level,” says Marlon Cera-Marle, Director, Design Division, Media 10. “With Design at Work, we are creating a focused, design-led platform that connects brands directly with the architects, designers and occupiers shaping the future of work.”

New York represents a critical global hub for workplace design, with over 30,000 architecture and design professionals and more than 16,000 architects, alongside the largest office market in the United States. Ongoing commercial development and workplace transformation continue to drive demand for high-quality, design-led interior solutions.

Media 10 will work closely with key industry associations, media partners and design organisations to ensure a highly targeted, high-quality visitor profile and strong market reach.

“We see a clear opportunity to bring a more curated, specification-driven event to the U.S. market,” adds Jedd Barry, Head of Marketing. “By working closely with industry associations and leading media partners, we’re building a platform that not only showcases innovation but also delivers real commercial value for exhibitors and meaningful connections for visitors.”

The event will feature a carefully designed exhibition environment, two talks theatres, including a dedicated end-user and occupier programme and curated networking spaces designed to encourage collaboration and business exchange. Supported by its Lead Media Partner, Sandow Design Group, the event will benefit from powerful editorial reach alongside a carefully curated talks programme.
